Angela is a spirited teen who, like many on the verge of womanhood, constantly butts heads with her mom. When we flash forward to an adult Angela on a difficult day, she struggles to accept the support of her best friend committed to helping her process a new change.

Acceptance was created out of a need to give black women space to grieve and lean on one another instead of the expectation to handle it alone. A love letter to those we’ve loved and lost, Acceptance is a small part in a larger project where we will address the five stages of grief through the lens of various cultures.
