Marele Entertainment is a bi-coastal production company with experience creating, producing and writing projects across a wide range of genres including political satires,

talk shows, sketch comedy and short films. Formed by Charisse Woodall and Brie Eley,

Marele Entertainment was formed to use comedy and drama to highlight and humanize the experiences of African-American women.  Their work has been featured on BET, Amazon Prime and Prime UK, Hulu as well as Funny or Die, Comediva and across the web!

Charisse Woodall founded Marele Entertainment in New York City with the intention to incorporate various styles of comedic and dramatic themes into diverse stories.  After receiving her bachelors in economics from Penn State, she transitioned to the stage graduating from the William Esper Studio conservatory program. In Los Angeles, she regularly volunteers as a writing mentor for Young Storytellers and is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences. 

Brie Eley

Brie Eley joined Marele Entertainment after producing branded series with AOL Studios and award-winning digital sketches with 4Play Comedy LA. Her films have screened at festivals across the country including NBC Short Cuts, Broad Humor in Los Angeles and the Austin Comedy Festival. She is active in the Los Angeles comedy scene, performs in local theater development and volunteers
as a writing and on-set mentor with Ghetto Film School LA.
